Join the program committee
We are inviting senior practitioners and researchers to serve on the program committee for the inaugural SYLEN Annual Conference. Committee members provide the technical peer review that keeps the program rigorous and practitioner-focused.
Role and commitment
Time commitment: a few hours total, concentrated in the review window between September and December 2026.
- Review roughly 3–6 submissions in your area between the abstract deadline (September 15, 2026) and acceptance notifications (December 21, 2026)
- Write concise, constructive technical feedback that helps authors improve their work
- Flag submissions that are out of scope, below the technical bar, or presented as marketing rather than engineering
- Optional: help shape review criteria and track scope for your area of expertise
Who we are looking for
- Senior practitioner, principal engineer, researcher, or department lead in computing, ML, infrastructure, reliability, security, or an adjacent technical field
- Depth in one or more of the conference tracks: ML systems, distributed systems, developer platforms, reliability and safety, embedded and robotics, or applied case studies
- Sound technical judgment and the ability to evaluate production systems work on its merits
- Willingness to be publicly named on the program committee roster
