What belongs on SYLEN

These guidelines describe acceptable use of the site.

Questions or concerns? Contact the editorial team.

Use specific technical detail

  • Share what you actually tried, where it failed, and what tradeoffs mattered.
  • If you reference a standard, method, or toolchain, include the relevant system context.
  • Questions are welcome when they are concrete and technically useful.

Keep discussion professional

  • Critique ideas directly, but do not attack people.
  • Avoid generic AI hype, startup content, or broad career content.
  • Vendor perspectives are acceptable when they add technical substance instead of marketing copy.

Respect confidentiality and production reality

  • Do not share proprietary, security-sensitive, customer-sensitive, or confidential details.
  • When in doubt, generalize the system and keep the technical lesson.
  • If a detail would create risk for your employer, customer, or users, do not post it.

Use the site professionally

  • Self-promotion is acceptable only when the contribution is directly useful to other members.
  • No cold-recruiting spam, bulk connection requests, or repeated cross-posting.
  • Use the site in a way that supports technical exchange and professional conduct.

Moderation approach

Content that undermines confidentiality, discussion quality, or professional conduct may be removed. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
